I began teaching in Minneapolis in 1998 and have been at Southwest High School teaching Human Geography since 2012. Human Geography is an awesome class. It includes such topics as: population and migration, culture, politics and urban geography. It provides opportunities for us to talk about the world we live in and to study it deeply seeking to gain a deeper insight into ourselves and our world.
A bit about me. I am married and have two kids. Both go to Southwest, one is a freshmen and the other is a sophomore. I love traveling, visiting our national parks, camping, fishing, boating, skiing and generally anything outdoors. I love teaching 9th graders. Working with colleagues teaching the same group of students we call Team Cedar allows us to get to know your student not only really well but very quickly too. I look forward to having a great year with some amazing students - Go Lakers! Go Team Cedar!!
